Vegas...again

Well, I'm off to Las Vegas again! This time not for fun, but for work. I get to stand in the booth all day and repeat myself 10 million times like the good little sales person that I am! :)

The conference that I am attending is a HUGE one devoted to convenience stores. All the wonderful items that are sold in convenience stores are showcased at the convention: candy, beer, cigarettes, chips, soda, gasoline, hot dogs, pizza, porn, knickknacks, magazines, coffee, gum, ice cream, fried foods, and most of all - energy drinks! A bonanza of junk food sampling.

I'll report back from the front lines of the junk food battles, and promise to take some photos for you of the interesting "food items" at the show! Scary stuff!

Wish me lots of luck in avoiding the consumption of dangerous junk food temptations!

  2. Hi Primal Mama! Yes there is some super scary stuff here! I'm hoping I can avoid temptation! Usually there is so much junk that it kind of overwhelms and then disgusts me! :)

    Have a great day!

  3. I really like your site. I've found that with my work (even when most of the time, geez honestly, I'm a bit bored with it all) I feel like living primal is my "real job", my Real Life. So when I'm bored at work, or in situations like you're describing with all of the junkfood at work, I'm better (not always maybe) at being above the fray. Anyhow, that's how I get through awful work days! But a trip to Las Vegas would make it more endurable I'm sure!

    Have fun during your trip!

  4. Hi Zach, thanks for your comment!
I'm not having too hard a time avoiding the junk so far! The trick is to eat a nice breakfast, and like you said, when you just know junk food isn't an option it's easier to skip it!
    Take care!

  5. Yes, traveling for work can always be a challenge. I was out of town for a few days on business and was a good boy despite the train wreck of eating habits around me. Like Mad Eye Moody says "Constant Vigalence!" Enjoy Vegas! We've stayed at the Luxor before. It is a great place to visit, but I'm not sure I'd want to live there.

  6. Hi Andy! Very true it can be difficult to eat well while traveling, especially when you don't get to choose the dining venues.
    Have a great weekend!
