Pork and veggies

Happy Friday!

I got some organic, free-range ground pork at the farmer's market a while back and threw it in my freezer. I was happy to find it and make some delicious pork patties out of it!

I chopped up a bunch of garlic and mixed it in with the meat. Fried the resulting patty in some bacon grease, of course. Alongside, a little stirfry of broccoli, red pepper, onion, and some really interesting mushrooms I also got at the farmer's market. I have no idea what they are, I'll have to get some more and take a photo for you next weekend. They are blackish and look kinda gross but they are pretty tasty!

Have a wonderful weekend my friends! xoxo

  1. Hi Yummy! Do you keep your bacon grease in a jar in the fridge and then just bust it out when you need it? Does it stink up your fridge? Just curious.

  2. Hi darlin! Yes indeed! I keep my bacon grease in the fridge in a little pyrex container with a plastic lid. It doesn't smell at all. But then again, my house and fridge pretty much smell like garlic and bacon and cheese and spices etc so who knows! (I guess that means I smell too- whoops)

My mom always saved grease etc in the freezer too.

    Love you! xo
